Valuing Our Children was established in 1993 by the North Quabbin Community Coalition through a multi-year grant provided by the John Boynton Fund. The organization was established for the purpose of addressing the needs of children in the area by providing primary prevention of child abuse through family support, parenting education, and community development.
Our Mission
The mission of VOC is to strengthen families by responding to the expressed needs of parents and building on existing strengths in families and in the community.Valuing Our Children has two locations. Our Family Center is located at 217 Walnut Street in downtown Athol and serves the nine North Quabbin towns – Athol, Orange, Royalston, Phillipston, Petersham, Wendell, New Salem, Warwick and Erving. Our second location, also in Athol, is the The North Quabbin Patch and Family Resource Center, located at 109 Lumber Street, Unit 5, 2nd floor.
